Our Mission

Mission

Puerto Vallarta is a vacation paradise for thousands of visitors who fly down from the US, Canada and Europe. It’s also one of the premier vacation spots for middle- and upper-class families from throughout Mexico. Most visitors spend their time along the coastal strip, enjoying the beaches, fine restaurants and acclaimed hotels. But inland, far from the glitzy attractions and unseen by the tourists, live thousands of Mexican families struggling to feed and clothe their kids and keep them in school.

Club Vallarta exists to serve these low-income kids. Our mission is to provide them with some of the same educational and recreational opportunities that kids from wealthier families enjoy and to instill in them positive values to include helping others.

Club Vallarta is the principal project of Educacion y Deportes Para Una Vida Mejor AC (Education and Sports for a Better Life). Founded in 2018, we provide opportunities for boys and girls living in some of Puerto Vallarta’s poorest areas. Together with our sister project La Escuelita, we currently serve over 600 kids in our before and after school activities.

Club Vallarta is housed on an attractive campus entirely financed by individual donors. Features include a modern building with classrooms, a large multipurpose room, a separate building dedicated to teaching music, a large swimming pool and a court used for basketball, soccer and volleyball.

We are funded primarily by donations from individuals interested in partnering with us in providing opportunities and hope to impoverished kids. We supplement these donations with any profits we make in our fund-raising activities:
