In all of our educational and recreational programs, we try to instill in our kids the values of fair play, hard work and helping others. Consistent with this, all of our kids take part in the regular cleaning of our campus. In addition, through our Service Brigade program, kids are invited to give to others just as others (our donors) have given to them. Although participation in our Service Brigade is voluntary, many kids find joy and satisfaction through their giving. For almost all of these kids from low-income families, they have rarely been in a situation where they had anything they could give to others. Our Service Brigade program gives them this opportunity
Movie Night
Every Friday evening, our Service Brigade provides our kids and our community with the opportunity to watch a newly released movie shown on a large screen in our Salon. For some of our kids, this is the first time they’ve ever watched a movie on a large screen. Service Brigade members set up chairs, sell tickets, sell refreshments and serve as ushers.
Service Brigade
The Service Brigade meets on a regular basis to plan specific service projects. They discuss the needs of the community and how they can help. Being involved in the planning of the service projects adds to their satisfaction and sense of accomplishment. At other times, there are opportunities to help that arise suddenly and the Service Brigade is there to answer the call.
Examples of recent projects by the Service Brigade

* Delivering bags of donated beans to needy homes in the community.
