Elementary Academics
The public schools are overcrowded, underfunded and unable to provide much individual help to a student who is behind. Consequently, low achieving students look forward to the day when they can drop out of school. To deal with this problem, we provide to elementary school kids classes which supplement what they’re studying in their public-school classroom. With an emphasis on reading, writing and arithmetic and with the individual attention that builds self-esteem, our kids are better positioned to go on to middle school and beyond. Kids in this program receive not only an hour a day of classroom study, but also an hour of organized sports and recreation.
Salon de Aventuras
This class for Elementary school kids focuses on exploring books, promoting reading and developing the imagination and creativity.
Computer Classes
We offer to kids from 6 to 15 years old basic computer classes. Most kids don’t have internet access at home, so we provide them with the means to complete homework assignments requiring the internet.
English Classes
Kids in fifth grade and above can enroll in English classes which meet two to four times per week.
Secondary Math Classes
Twice a week middle school and high school students can receive extra help with the math they’re studying in school. This extra help is a powerful tool in preventing kids from dropping out.
